Designed and “Handmade” in France by a French team
LPLR Eyewear (short for “La Petite Lunette Rouge”) was born from the meeting between designer Alison Hemmes and brand founder Hilarhi Arcade. The name “La Petite Lunette Rouge” comes from the brand’s logo, created by Alison even before the first eyewear designs.
Behind the anagrams that conceal their real identities to focus solely on their creations, Alison and Hilarhi enjoy playing with the provocative spirit of contemporary art. Boldness is the driving force behind their pursuit of uniqueness and modernity.
“When it comes to eyewear design, everything has already been done — we must revisit the past to create the future,” says Hilarhi. As such, their creative foundation draws inspiration from the 1980s.
The collection embraces its singularity to appeal to wearers with a touch of boldness! The combination of acetate and surgical steel materials offers a wide variety of shapes to suit every face. The interplay of textures between these two materials adds depth to the colors, which range from warm and vibrant to more subtle yet always elegant tones.
The frames are unisex, and our little ones also have their own line called “Petite petite”.
The exclusive hinge with its two rotating axes shaped like our logo, a brow line clip-on reinterpreted in many ways, and a temple tip inspired by glacier goggles are the three hallmarks of La Petite Lunette Rouge.
